MSU Off-Campus Life

Who are we?

MSU Off-Campus Life is MSU’s Off-Campus Housing resource within the Office of Community & Student Relations.

Mission:

MSU Off-Campus Life resource is the resource center for off campus living, with information on housing, resources to encourage safe participation in off-campus areas, and initiatives to support off-campus Spartans as students and responsible neighbors in the Greater Lansing and East Lansing communities.

Values:

  • We want to ensure off-campus student success by providing connection to appropriate community and university resources.

  • We want to promote a sense of belonging through positive interactions between students and long-term community members.

  • We want to support off-campus student success through the Spartan Ambassador Internship Program, whose vision is to create stable, undivided, vibrant neighborhoods surrounding MSU.

Goals:

  • Our website will provide relevant resources for off-campus students and be continuously updated to ensure relevancy.

  • Assist in the student transition to off campus living with our Spartan Off Campus Living Guide.

  • Promote community engagement for student residents and permanent residents alike by engaging in community events - both on campus and in the Greater Lansing area.

  • Encourage students to get involved in the MSU and local communities by engaging with our Spartan Ambassador program.
