• Spartan Ambassador Internship Program won the state-wide Michigan Recreation and Park Association (mParks) Community Service Award

• Spartan Ambassadors (formerly Community Relations Coalition) won the 2011 City of East Lansing Crystal Award

• 2022-2023 ASMSU Senior Class Council Award for Community Service

Our Mission

Our Spartan Ambassador Interns foster positive relationships between MSU Students and permanent residents of the Greater Lansing Region by serving on committees, engaging in volunteer opportunities, and connecting off campus students to the resources they need to be good neighbors and successful students.

What We Do

Spartan Ambassador Interns perform a number of functions for permanent and student residents. Interns work with community partners on projects to benefit the community. Interns also look for opportunities to volunteer in the community at events. Spartan Ambassadors bring the voices of off-campus students into committees and work groups in East Lansing, Lansing, and at MSU. Finally, our Interns work to connect off campus students to resources ranging from legal services to recycling.
